Ultrasonic metal welding is a solid-state joining technology. During welding, high-frequency ultrasonic vibrations are transmitted to the metal workpieces via the welding horn. Under a specific pressure, this induces high-frequency micro-slip and localized plastic deformation at the joining interface, breaking down surface oxide layers and contaminants to form a metallurgical bond between metal atoms. Since the entire joining process does not require melting the base materials, it effectively minimizes the heat-affected zone, preserves the original properties of the materials, and achieves high-strength, low-resistance, and highly consistent joint quality.
